Dr. Alexia Rolle

Dr. Alexia Q. Rolle, Ed.D. is a native of Miami, FL (Homestead), received her undergraduate degree in Social Work, Master’s in School Counseling and Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership. In 2003, Dr. Rolle began her career as a School Social Worker with Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS). While working as a School Social Worker, Dr. Rolle was honored by Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) South Region for decreasing student truancy. After three years serving as a School Counselor, in 2009, Dr. Rolle was awarded by the Dade Counseling Association as “Miami-Dade County Public Schools Secondary Counselor of the Year.” Soon after, Dr. Rolle was honored with the City of Homestead Proclamation, Established January 30, 2009, as Alexia Q. Rolle Day. Dr. Rolle ended her tenure with M-DCPS in 2018.

Dr. Rolle currently serves as Dean of Career & Technical Education and Chairperson of the Miami Dade College Apprenticeship and Preapprenticeship Program which manages twenty-two registered apprenticeship and preapprenticeship programs, the most of any Florida educational institution. In 2022, the MDC Apprenticeship Program was deemed Apprenticeship Ambassador by the U.S. Department of Labor. In 2022, Dr. Rolle was awarded the MDC President’s Excellence Award. Following that, Dr. Rolle was selected for the Chancellor’s Leadership Seminar. In 2023, Dr. Rolle was nominated for the Miami Dade College President’s Leadership Academy and in 2024 chosen as an (ACTE) NextLevel Postsecondary CTE Fellowship with the Association of Career & Technical Education. Dr. Rolle also serves as the Co-Chair for the Florida College System Joint Councils, Council of Workforce Education (CWE).

Dr. Rolle has contributed to several conferences and academic panels including the Florida House of Representatives, American Association of Community Colleges, Florida Association of Career & Technical Education, Association of Florida Colleges, Black Professionals Network and Geographic Solutions.
