Mark Bogen was elected to represent residents living in Broward County’s District 2, which includes the cities of Coconut Creek, Margate and portions of Pompano Beach, Deerfield Beach and Coral Springs. He was elected Mayor of Broward County on November 27, 2018 and is currently serving as Mayor of Broward County, re-elected on November 18, 2025.
Since taking office, Mayor Bogen has made significant progress, tackling complex issues such as the creation of precedent setting regulations to fairly govern emerging companies such as Uber. He stood ground on behalf of residents and successfully brokered an agreement to limit and change Monarch Hill landfill disposal operations in Coconut Creek. He has also allocated funds to bring economic development programs to Pompano Beach, Deerfield Beach, Coconut Creek, Margate and Coral Springs.
Every voter in Broward County who votes by absentee mail-in ballot will see that a stamp is no longer necessary as postage is now pre-paid, an idea that Mayor Bogen brought to fruition.
Mayor Bogen has been practicing law for 30 years and as the managing partner of the Bogen Law Group, which focuses the representation of condominium and homeowner associations big and small. He is also well known for his legal expertise in a variety of securities, consumer and anti-trust class actions lawsuits.
Mark Bogen was a former Special Assistant to the State Attorney’s office, an adjunct professor of business law at Florida Atlantic University, and authored a book What Every Condo Owner Should Know: Florida Condo Law : Questions & Answers. He is a respected columnist, subject matter expert and frequent speaker at association board and unit owner meetings informing them on the new laws and answering legal questions.
